White Flag Program

Nightly Shelter from the Cold

Our local White Flag program guarantees homeless individuals a warm bed on nights when the temperature dips below freezing, even if our night shelters are at capacity.

Last Winter (2021-2022), Aurora and United Caring Services worked together to expand White Flag to every night most of the winter, no matter what the temperature. We were able to help more people that winter than ever before.

White Flag is a great example of commission members working together to care for area homeless.

We encourage you to support Aurora, United Caring Services and other nonprofits serving the homeless. Every contribution makes a difference!
