Nearly 700 Attend 16th Homeless Connect
Homeless Connect is an annual one-day event that links individuals struggling to get resources with direct access to essential services. All under one roof! Individuals don't have to be homeless to attend. It's open to anyone struggling to access resources.
The 16th annual Homeless Connect, held on March 21 in downtown Evansville, attracted 687 attendees. A whopping 82% of them attended for the first time, reflecting the growing number of residents struggling to make ends meet or connect with services available to them.
Attendees took full advantage of the on-site services available at Homeless Connect, which included hair and nail care, health care, dental care, eye exams, affordable housing resources, utility bill consultations, public assistance applications, legal aid, foreclosure mitigation, employment, affordable child care, educational resources, and much more.
The 2025 Homeless Connect will be April 3 at the Old National Events Plaza. Stay tuned for more information.
