We may be a little biased, but we think Homeless Connect is the best event in town!
There’s nothing else like it. During our one-day event, anyone in need—not just the homeless, but anyone struggling to access resources—can get help right on the spot.
Homeless Connect isn’t a typical resource fair. Actual services are provided on-site that day. Dozens of vendors participate by invitation only and each is required to provide a direct service at the event.
Last year’s Homeless Connect helped almost 700 people from the tri-state area. These individuals received lunch, basic health care, eye exams, basic dental care, haircuts, legal aid, assistance with housing and utilities…
Homeless Connect is brought to you by the Commission on Homeless with the help of many sponsors. Our event is self-funded, so we rely heavily on the generosity of these sponsors, along with public donations through the commission’s new Dignity Fund.
Make plans to attend on Thursday, April 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CDT) in the Old National Events Plaza, located at 715 Locust Street in downtown Evansville. Parking is available in the large lot across 9th Street.

Attendee Pre-Registration
Pre-registration is not required, but highly recommended! Signing up early will save you lots of time when you get to Homeless Connect. All you’ll need to do is quickly check-in upon arrival.
Volunteer Registration
Volunteers are key to Homeless Connect’s success. We’ve got opportunities the day prior and the day of the event.

Who can attend Homeless Connect?
Homeless Connect is open to ANYONE! You don’t have to be homeless to benefit from these services. We invite anyone who’s struggling to find essential resources to attend.
Can I pre-register?
Yes. Pre-registration isn’t required, but we recommend it. Last year, nearly 700 people participated in Homeless Connect. The registration line can get pretty long. If you pre-register, all you’ll need to do is check in upon arrival and you’ll get to skip the long registration line. Click here to pre-register for Homeless Connect.
Can someone help me pre-register?
Yes. All homeless services agencies will be actively helping individuals pre-register for Homeless Connect. Or you can pre-register yourself if you’re not involved with an agency.
Will interpreters be available?
Yes! We will have interpreters from Heartland Interpretation and Translation Services for anyone who speaks Spanish, Haitian Creole and Marshallese.
Will lunch be provided?
Yes! All attendees will get a free lunch and snacks.
Is the event ADA accessible?
Yes. The Old National Events Plaza is ADA compliant. Check out the ONEP website for more information.
Volunteers at Homeless Connect will be available to assist you however we can.
How can my organization become a vendor?
Participation in Homeless Connect is by invitation only. All vendors must provide a service on-site at the event. If you have a vital service that isn’t currently provided at Homeless Connect, contact us at info@evansvillehomeless.org for consideration in a future Homeless Connect.
