Homeless Connect

The 18th Homeless Connect is March 19

Hundreds of individuals benefit from this one-of-a-kind event each year.

There’s nothing else like Homeless Connect. During our one-day event, anyone in need—not just the homeless, but anyone struggling to access resources—can get help right on the spot.

Homeless Connect isn’t a typical resource fair. Actual services are provided on-site that day. More than 70 vendors are hand-picked to provide a direct service at the event.

These services include basic health screenings, eye and dental exams, pre-natal care, haircuts, legal advice, housing and financial assistance, tax preparation, foreclosure mitigation, re-entry services, veterans services, parenting resources, public assistance applications, utility bill consultation, birth certificates and IDs, employment services, recovery groups, education services and more.

Homeless Connect is hosted by the Commission on Homeless with the help of many sponsors. Our event is self-funded, so we rely heavily on the generosity of these sponsors, along with public donations through the commission’s Dignity Fund.

Make plans to attend on Thursday, March 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CT) in the Old National Events Plaza, located at 715 Locust Street in downtown Evansville. Parking is available in the large lot across 9th Street.

Watch this webpage for more information as we get closer to Homeless Connect.

Volunteer Registration

Volunteers make Homeless Connect happen. Most of the  opportunities are on the day prior and the day of the event. But new this year is an opportunity to help with lunch preparation, including making cookies on February 18 at Feed Evansville’s community kitchen.

Click here to become a volunteer. You’ll be taken to United Way’s volunteer portal to sign up. (Thank you, United Way!)

Our 2026 Sponsors

The Evansville-Vanderburgh Commission on Homelessness is grateful for the generous support of these organizations. Without them, Homeless Connect could not happen.
