Homeless Connect
The 18th Homeless Connect is March 19
Hundreds of individuals benefit from this one-of-a-kind event each year.
There’s nothing else like Homeless Connect. During our one-day event, anyone in need—not just the homeless, but anyone struggling to access resources—can get help right on the spot.
Homeless Connect isn’t a typical resource fair. Actual services are provided on-site that day. More than 75 vendors are hand-picked to provide a direct service at the event.
These services include basic health screenings (including eye and dental exams), haircuts, legal advice, housing and financial assistance, tax preparation, foreclosure mitigation, re-entry services, veterans services, childcare referrals, parent resources, public assistance applications, utility bill consultation, birth certificates, employment services, recovery groups, internet access, education services and more.
Homeless Connect is hosted by the Commission on Homeless with the help of many sponsors. Our event is self-funded, so we rely heavily on the generosity of these sponsors, along with public donations through the commission’s Dignity Fund.
Make plans to attend on Thursday, March 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CDT) in the Old National Events Plaza, located at 715 Locust Street in downtown Evansville. Parking is available in the large lot across 9th Street.

Common Questions
Here’s a list of common questions we get about Homeless Connect.
Who can attend Homeless Connect?
Homeless Connect is open to ANYONE! You don’t have to be homeless to benefit from these services. We invite anyone who’s struggling to find essential resources to attend.
Can I pre-register?
Yes. Pre-registration isn’t required, but we recommend it. Last year, nearly 700 people participated in Homeless Connect. The registration line can get pretty long. If you pre-register, all you’ll need to do is check in upon arrival and you’ll get to skip the long registration line. We’ll post the link here once pre-registration opens.
Can someone help me pre-register?
Yes. All homeless services agencies will be actively helping individuals pre-register for Homeless Connect. Or, once our online pre-registration opens, you can pre-register yourself through this webpage.
Will interpreters be available?
Yes! We will have interpreters from Heartland Interpretation and Translation Services for anyone who speaks Spanish, Haitian Creole and Marshallese.
Will lunch be provided?
Yes! All attendees will get a free lunch and snacks.
Is the event ADA accessible?
Yes. The Old National Events Plaza is ADA compliant. Check out the ONEP website for more information.
Volunteers at Homeless Connect will be available to assist you however we can.
How can my organization become a vendor?
Participation in Homeless Connect is by invitation only. All vendors are hand-selection because they must provide a service on-site at the event. If you have a vital service that isn’t currently provided at Homeless Connect, contact us at info@evansvillehomeless.org for consideration in a future Homeless Connect.
