Volunteers serve in many roles and are vital to the success of Vanderburgh Homeless Connect.
Childcare volunteers report directly to 4C of Southern Indiana. If you are volunteering on behalf of a vendor, please contact the vendor for instructions, as you will part of the vendor’s team. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any further questions.
For volunteers that provide general support to Vanderburgh Homeless Connect, there are some general guidelines that apply to all, plus specific role functions. Volunteer roles may however blend and overlap as needed. The ultimate goal is to provide the best experience for our guests.
Please see the links below for specific volunteer role information.
• Arrive by 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 16th.
• Check in at the Headquarters table in the lobby of the Exhibit Hall.
• Please wear your VHC T-shirt and comfortable shoes.
• There will not be a secure location to store personal belongings. Please plan accordingly.
• Lunch will be provided, but food may be brought in.
o You will need a meal ticket—please pick up at Headquarters table when you sign in Thursday.
o Your team leader will send you in different shifts so the guests continue to be served.
Limited parking will be available in the Old National Events Plaza parking lot.
Please be aware that many spaces on the street near the Old National Events Plaza are one-hour parking.

New this year, the Veterans will have their own separate space. Also again, there will be outside vendors on 9th Street.
